The last few years in Qld, rego has gone through the roof, it is just the government and 3rd parties cashing in

$800ish a year for rego and on top of that us QLDer's are paying 10-15cents more a litre for fuel than the other capitals.
Time to shift I think

Are you sure about the fuel costs,travel up to the sunny coast ooften to visit family and i would say fuel prices are the same if not marginally cheaper than NSW.
Just payed rego 03 t/d GX is rego $459.00 plus CTPgreen slip $505.46 grand total =$964.46 asa comparison rego due wifes 09 mazda3 rego $321 ctp $448.13 = $769.13 so approx $200 diference.And then there is the insurance !

Yes, every time I travel to Sydney, the fuel price is cheaper than Brissie. So I agree with Jeff.

Reading this thread makes me jealous as, My last rego came in at $980 for 12 months, for the ML triton diesel. However I can take it in and prove it is a touring vehicle eg drawers etc and they will knock off $400.

Noooo - not to WA. Seeing more and more of those Purple/White QLD plates here "Queensland - the Sunshine State" (Bit of false advertising there i think after the amount of rain you guys have had over the last couple of years)

Mind you those Blue/White VIC plates are getting common too. "Victoria - the place to be" Why aren't you there??

I pay $501.90 for Registration and CTP insurance.
The 120 Prado is a 4 cyl diesel so cheaper than a 6 and I get aged pension so get a discount.
You'll get your turn, you just have to wait long enough.
