Grinding Noise when turning steering wheel

Hey guys , when I turn the steering wheel half lock to the left I can hear and feel this eery grinding noise.
Can anyone please let me know what they think it could be?
I was thinking cv joints or bushes??

Might be low on power steering fluid?

.....OR as it was in mine last week the inner plastic guard close to the radiator broke free from the underside of the bull bar and rubbed on the tyre on left lock. The fix? 2 zip ties to tie it back again.

If no plastic is touching the wheel It’s probably a worn ball joint in a rack end or outer tie rod, both of which form the steering arm between the power steering rack & the wheel. I had a worn rack end in my old 90 years ago and for a week when turning sharply to the right at slow speed there was this grinding type of noise. The rack end was the culprit. $30-$40 part. Just got to know what you’re doing with ball joints and have the right tools on hand to replace one yourself. A basic tool kit won’t have what you need.
