I have connected a Hayman Reese wiring harness to my car. It is an easy plug in type one and didn't require any splicing.
When I connect the controller the car, the light turns green for about a second or two. Then it flashes in red.
It is a brand new Compact IQ controller and wiring harness.
I have double checked that the power and ground cavles are properly connected.
The blue cable has connectivity to the trailer plug. The red brake spotlight wire is also connected properly and reads a signal when the brake padle is pressed.
The manual trailer brake button is also working. All verified with a multimeter.
I can only think that this is normal behaviour when there is no trailer attached (haven't purchased one yet).
Or the controller is faulty.
Any ideas about what the cause is or what I can test?
