No Night mode for infotainment?

Took delivery last Wednesday of a new 2021 Kakadu and absolutely love it. However, whenever I drive at night the infotainment doesn't switch to night mode so not only is it super bright, both Toyota and Google maps don't turn black so its super distracting. I've been into display settings and checked the manual and I seem to be missing the option for night mode. Any ideas?

Behind the steering wheel on the right there is a dial that controls the brightness of the guages. If that’s turned fully clockwise you will feel a click that disables night mode. Turn it back a bit and night mode will work fine.
