Towing Capacity - 2017 GDJ150R Prado Auto GXL Diesel 7 Seater

Just wanting to confirm towing capacity of my 2017 GDJ150R Prado Auto GXL Diesel 7 Seater. I have seen both 2500kg and 3000kg from various sources. It's a July 2017 make and I think there was a change in September 2017. I'm looking at towng a an offroad camper with a tare weight of 2290kg and ATM of 3000kg - think I might be pushing my luck. No luck involved, I'm afraid. The August 2016 model has a towing limit of 2,500kg. The 2017 model, released in August 2017, has the revised towing limit of 3,000kg. I'm in the same boat, looking for an off-road 'van with an ATM < 2,500 kg.

Yeah thought as much, but did find a few referneces including this one off the autotarders website which suggest my model may be 3000kg braked capacity, but would prefer to see it from an official source (https://www.autotrader.com.au/toyota...-capacity/2017). Might be restricted to one of the off-road fold out setups which are quite a bit lighter than the pop-ups

Maabs74 , Check the sticker on the driver's door pillar - see attached. That is your vehicle's towing spec.
