    Hi Daniel,
I notice you are in Adelaide. I am in Sydney.
Would like to get a GVM upgrade for a 2018 Prado (post rego). I agree the Dobinson IMS kit is the way to go. Unfortunately the NSW store only has approval for pre rego (Australia wide for those that may not be aware).
Who did you get to install your Dobinson post rego GVM upgrade suspension? Was it 3250 or 3500kg?

Go easy on me as a newbie posting, I have lurked for years.

      MY18150,

My understanding is a 10% increase in GVM can be signed off by an approved examiner (AVE) without any testing in Queensland.
I believe the same principle applies in other states as the whole ADRs and GVM/GCM debacle was clarified nationally relatively recently and is in effect up to the individual states to control.

Perhaps Google your state Transport or Main Roads Department for a list of AVEs in NSW

Saw in another post Daniel has a GVM upgrade of 3250kg organised by Pedders due to their pre rego kits being not fit for purpose. The engineer company was Tonkin who also have an office in Sydney.

Lee, in Qld I read you can get an LS11 (10% only) post rego GVM upgrade fairly easily. I will research it but don't think it is that easy in NSW (by what Dobinson NSW said). I am close to my GVM 2.99T so a 10% increase is all I need.

Not much choice for Prado GVM upgrades, especially post rego.

I am looking at the GVM upgrade in NSW for my 2017 Prado. Have there been others with issues on Pedders? Im also looking at Superior Engineering GVM upgrade too.

            Hi my18150.
Correct, I have a 3250kg post rego gvm.
The suspension supplier regardless of brand can’t sign off on a gvm. They all use a third party, some just have pre approved kits.(peddles, lovels, superior). My lift was simply installed and certified by an engineer provided by the suspension company. Then a brief rego check.
Not sure who you’d call for that in nsw.
