Number Plate fell off

Hi, just thought I'd pass this on. I have a 150 3lt diesel 2015 with a genuine Toyota Bullbar fitted. The number plate is held on by two screws which screw into two plastic push-in receptacles that clip into two square holes in the Bar. Last week, I had to drive through/over a causeway with a bit of water in it and a bit of a dip. I proceeded across carefully and dropped into and through the water which created an up-flow of water helped by the protector plate under the radiator. Luckily I stopped shortly after to fish by a river and noticed I had no front number plate. It could only have been in the water at the causeway, so I drove back .... and very luckily, there it it was on the bottom about a foot under water. I cannot believe that a genuine BullBar could be so suspect as to drop a number plate under such simple circumstances. Imagine it falling off on the Gibb River Rd or similar and wondering Where?? or should I go back???. What a joke and a definite design fault. So all I can recommend is to wire it on somehow to avoid losing it if you have one of these poorly designed BullBars.

I'm thinking about inserting a captive nut into the square cut-out in the BullBar (like a rack mount nut or a U-Nut). Anyone done this ??

It is a common occurrence and not just with Prado genuine bars either, non genuine and other vehicles have the same issue.
On the I Got bogged on Fraser Facebook page you regularly see lost & found number plate posts.

You just need 4 mounting points for the number plate. Or one of those flip up plates to provide clearance when winching.
