Toyota Prado 120 Spare Wheel lock stuck

Hi All,

I am a new owner of 120 series Toyota Prado and got this spare wheel cover that I need to put on the wheel but its lock is stuck. I have the two small lock keys that can be inserted in and out of the lock but I am not able to turn the lock with the keys and unable to open. Not sure how the lock mechanism works but i tried pulling the lock but no luck. Don’t want to break it either. Any help would be appreciated on what could be wrong and how to fix this problem.

Turn Key then its a cam over latch. If it doesnt turn try some lubricant spray on it.

We should ask for support from the supplier if it fails. Everything will be more time consuming and troublesome if we keep trying lolbeans

Rather than dust-attracting lubricant spray, I'd blast it with compressed air, then try to feed some graphite powder into the keyhole, followed by another short blast of air.
