I think you will find most people would find your reply fairly sarcastic and passive aggressive.

There is no point trying to beat people to death with overpadded wording like…

“Let's examine that - an LED headlight is by definition one that has LED globes.
So a globe change converts an incandescent headlight to a LED headlight - by your logic, that would be illegal. it isn't”
Using larger words frequently does not make you intelligent or add weight to your argument. We are all aware of what an LED headlight is.

Similarly quoting specific clause numbers in a vehicle standard is a bit of a “look at me I know some clause numbers” kind of move.

No I have not read the ADR but I’m happy to believe that those with a financial interest (Narva, Phillips etc) would’ve and if they could get around it we would all have led globes in our old cars by now and halogen globes would be a piece of history by now.

I take a lot of time researching things before I buy or post on here. I’m not always bothered by the legality of certain mods, rather the benefits vs risks involved in doing them. I do find it much easier to stay on the right side of the regulations most of the time. If I state that something is illegal, rest assured I have looked into it and to the best of my resources got an answer. That doesn’t mean I’m always right as I’m not, but it will be at least a partially educated statement. You probably won’t find me running with the idea that something is illegal etc because that’s what “old mate” on the forum or at the caravan park told me.

Anyway, good luck with the seal. Hope it’s nothing major.
