Newbie alert... though perhaps the topic made that obvious.
If you know you might be doing water crossings a number of times, and expect the water to be a bit above the bottom of the door (i.e. higher than the bottom of your seals), is it a good idea to permanently remove the carpet inside? If yes, do folks leave the flooring bare (other than rubber mats), or do they put some other non-absorbent material in the carpet's place?
