  • Intermittent stalling

    Hey all,
Hoping to to get some advice..
I have a 120 3L Prado. Recently been having issues with it stalling while driving. Most times it restarts fine and drives well. Sometimes when I re-start it runs rough and blows smoke. Comes good again after 2-3 attempts. Also surges slightly before stalling.

The ABS and Handbrake lights have started coming on but doesn’t affect how it drives.
Thinking it may be electrical, hoping someone on here may have has a similar issue?

    Cheers all ✌️

Sound fuel related and most likely cause a sticky/faulty Suction Control Valve (SCV).

If you can get someone with a Scantool to check, see what the Target and Actual Fuel Pressures are when good and when having issues.

Should be +/- 5000 Kpa of each other at idle.
