  • Installer advice needed.

I've just got my second Prado (GXL 2023 nearly 3 weeks old now ) after many years of not having one and ask Perthites if they have any recommendations for competent installers of things like dual battery systems, brake controllers, 2 way radios etc. in the northern burbs of Perth.
    TIA.

I can't believe this! Not one response so I assume no one knows any decent sparkys they can recommend.

A lot of owners fit their own basic electrics like dual battery, radios etc. and use the forum resource for information to do the job which may be why there have been no recommendations

Yep. That's me too. There tends to be a lot of very capable enthusiasts on this forum.

Edit: The website was behaving like a pig on the night I posted. It must have logged me out 5 times while trying to finish the reply. If I knew how to delete the duplication, I would!

I've fitted a trailer brake controller, VSR, Anderson socket, ATF radiator and caravan towing mirrors. I even added a reversing camera socket for my caravan's wired reversing camera, integrated into the Prado's OEM video screen (perhaps not many owners have done that!).

You only waited 24 hours for a reply before getting angry!
Maybe being polite and patient will get better results.
As above, most of us will do our own basic work.

Actually Daniel, I wasn't angry at all but amazed as when I had a Prado 120 years ag there was a lot of info around and assistance from many. I normally do much of my own work but decided this time and not being fully confident with electronics I decided to seek pro advice.
North Coast Electric at Wangara are going to do the work.
              Cheers.
