  • Mud flaps

Hi , just wondering if anyone has any information on buying extra long rear mud flaps to provide a bit extra stone protection from rocks etc for towing , thank you

The easiest and cheapest way is to get a suitably sized piece of rubber or similar material and bolt it to the existing mudflat ( bolt head toward the tyre). This means you can take it off easily when not needed.

My go-to company for rubber products is IRS (Industrial Rubber Supplies) in Perth and Brisbane. Search for "Mud Flap" on their website. (I have no connection to IRS apart from being a customer).

There's a product called Rock Tamers that people fit that are in effect giant rear mudflaps. However they are controversial, as it is claimed that they throw rocks out to the side at other vehicles. An alternative that many people prefer, including yours truly, is a Stone Stomper. Opinion is divided between these two products, but I think the majority prefer the Stomper.
