burke and wills video

Hello All
I have exhausted my contacts, so thought I may be able to get some info from our forum.
This is not prado related, but I am after a copy of the movie, Burke and Wills, with Jack Thompson.
Any ideas or a copy, appreciated.

Thought you might be interested to know that the National Film and Sound Archive are currently remastering the film for re-release in 2011, so you will be able to get a copy then on DVD. There are still a few VHS videos around, but the 4:3 format doesn't do justice to the great footage of the outback.
A 16mm print of the film has been shown in various venues as part of the Burke and Wills 150th Anniversary Commemoration - next showing is in Balranald and there will be one later this year in Beechworth. Watch www.burkeandwills150.info for details

Thankyou very much for your post. I stumbled across it, but will be very interested in getting a copy on dvd. Thanks for the info. Please keep us updated if anything changes

We are following ther Burke and Wills trail next year (2012) and then shooting across to Port Douglas to watch the solar eclipse. Hope to get my hands on the DVD before we go. Love watching exploration shows like that.
