Mechanical Service in Cairns / Townsville

Gday all,

Have just search to find nothing useful. Does anyone know a good mechanic or one to steer clear of in either of these areas?

I'm on a trip and just clocked up 10,000 and would like to change engine oil and filter and possibly get some shafts greased. I have never taken any car to a mechanic so have lots of bad stories rattling around in my head, but people tend to tell the bad ones more often.

Unfortunately I don't have a drip tray, oil filter wrench or somewhere to dump oil in my camping arsenal..

Or if someone is doing theirs and likes beer? Any advice would be much appreciated

I have lived in several places in NSW and QLD and find the service from Mike carney Toyota the best of any toyota dealer I have used.
I have No affilliation with them, just use them for both of my Toyota's (Hilux and Aurion).
