  • Portable gas cookers

I was told that there was a Austrailia show on TV last week that was demonstrating a variation of those $20 portable gas cookers ( single burner, gas canister type ). This unit had a solid plate, rather than a ring burner. Did anyone happen to watch it and notice who was suppling them or where they could be purchased from? They must be very new, as I've searched the net and not found them.
    Bazza.

Hi Bazza - have you got or tried the solid round plate (looks like a dinner plate with removable centre piece) for your gas cooker. They are available locally for about $20. (jus noticed i am only 20 mins or so from you) cheers mick

                  G'day Mick,
                  Thanks for your suggestion.
I've looked at quite a few variations and decided to give them a miss. As this is only for infrequent use ( when I do'nt want to set up the twin burners or BBQ ) I ended up buying a large heavy duty cast fry pan. Solid bloody thing, which should last for ever, and it's big enough for what I want.
Take care, we might bump into each other on our local travels.
                  Bazza.
