Quick question - Agnes to Brisbane

Hi All

Which is the most efficient and quickest way from Agnes Waters to Brissy.
Via Miriam Vale or Bundy?

alot of the guys that would normally be able to quickly respond are driving down to NSW
and i'm not sure they will see this today

From Agnes water drive south along tableland rd, till you get to the Lowmead turn off, and head towards that town, then if you keep driving through that town you should get back onto the Bruce Hwy, follow BH south till you get to brissy, if you need to get to the south side of brissy do not take the gateway toll rd, continue straight ahead and take the Clem 7 tunnel as it is cheaper and you miss all the roadworks on the gateway tollroad, this will bring you out onto the southside of brissy at the Gabba on the M1.

bundy then goodwood rd, brings you out south of childers.

After 3000 odd klm's brisbane to roma to blackall to winton to longreach to ruby vale to Agnes waters another hour or so seems to pale into insignificance.

Bundy it is.

If you have time on your hands (not sure if you are towing anything) and you are happy to drive on a few tracks and dirt roads you could head S from Agnes through Deepwater NP (easy drive sand and dirt track) out of the NP onto Deepwater Rd then Fingerfield Rd to Rules Beach for a looksee, nice part of the coast. Then take the Coast Rd past Baffle Ck (used to be very good fishing mainly mangrove jack but haven't been there for 10+ years) to Ferry Rd which will take you to Rosedale. From Rosedale to Bundy and then as suggested take the Goodwood Rd S out of Bundy. When you get to the Woodgate turnoff take a detour to Woodgate again for a looksee and then head to Childers. Of course you could miss a good chunk of the Goodwood Rd and head into Kinkuna NP but that sand track can be a bit chopped up and soft and very slow going. This area is all old stomping ground for me and we camp at Burrum Pt NP pretty much every year for a few weeks.

The alternative which is to go on bitumen to Bundy or via Mirriam Vale is typical country road/highway. Uninspiring but simple.
