  • ORS Draw System

    Hi everyone,

I am looking at having the Off Road System (ORS) Fridgepack 3 in Aluminium installed in my 2007 VX D4D. Just wanting some feedback before purchasing.

    http://www.offroadsystems.com.au/pricel ... o_120.html

Has anyone had any problems with the system or alternatively have something good to say about the draws ?

I am looking at taking them out as most of the time it is the wife's city commute car, so how easy are they to remove and re install?

Drew- I have the fridge pack 1 steel, and i can say i love it. I also got the cargo barrier whilst the drawers were installed.
They are constructed very nicely and i don't think you would have too much trouble removing them if need be. They also have stainless steel water tanks to suit the front of the drawers directly behind the middle row seats. Ask for Jamie when you speak to them. He is very thorough and knows the product very well and will advise you on what will be right for you.
    Hope that helps a little
    Cheers

We had one of these in our old 95 series. Loved it... but, just remember there will be little or no room to pack things in like the shopping. Whilst you can use the drawers, it just wasn't that practical for us. They were made extremely well and could not fault them. When we bought our 120 we changed over to the fridge pack 1. This suits our day to day needs better. Still can't take any thing too big in the back with the cargo barrier and water tank, but I have another car that takes care of this stuff now anyway.

When we had the 3 drawer removed it took them just under 30 minurws, but they are the experts and I would think it would be about 45 - 60 minutes for me to do the same. The there is the issue of storing it somewher too when not in use. I have none of that left unfortunatley

        Hi guys,

Our 3 pack system is at http://www.lcool.org/technical/90_se...rado/ivan.html, and it has spent three years in a 90 Series Prado, before spending five years in a 100 Series Landcruiser - and tomorrow the new base plate and wings arrive so that I can put it into the 'new' 120 series. Into the third car in eight years, and looking just as good as the day they were bought.

We wanted the Fridgepack 3 so that the fridge actually had a box over it - otherwise if you have a fridge sitting on top of a drawer with no box, then you can't pull the fridge forward without all the gear falling down behind it!

Love the drawers to death - Graham and Jamie are great and nothing is too much for them.

          Hi Drew,
I bought a 2 drawer aluminium system early this year, half the weight of a steel system I had in a 100s,and seems to be just as strong. My fridge is always fitted and Ive been on some pretty rough tracks with the draws loaded.Being aluminium it was a 1 person job to fit and was really easy.
I found some storage bins at Howards Storage that fit pretty neat in the draws and tidy things up.The only thing I want to add is a security box in front of the draws.

            Re: ORS Draw System

            Hi Drew,

Earlier this year I went with the ORS aluminium 2 drawer system with the fridge slide on the LHS, 1/2 cargo barrier and Graham built in two hidden lockable security boxes where the water tank would normally be located. The aluminium draws are only a few kg heavier than the seats that were removed so they stay in all the time.

No problems so far, the fit and finish is great and we have been thru the Flinders, Central Australia and Western Simpson already and there are still no annoying rattles.

              Thanks Everyone who has responded.

It has confirmed what I thought.

My only problem now is they do not seem to have a Melbourne distributor/fitter.

Might pack up the family and go to Canberra for a road trip/holiday and get the draws installed while there.

Sorry I know I've come in a bit late on this, but I just have to add, Big Fella and I have the fridgepack 1 and stainless steel water tank, and have the box over where the fridge is too. I keep the fridge in there all the time, it's not always on, but is there whenever I need it. I much prefer the 1 drawer to 3 for everyday usage. I can still get all the shopping in there, school bags etc...Everything fitted really well when we packed for the GTG too I love this product and am very happy with it.
