  • Barrington Trail

    Hi Guys
We are planning a trip up to Barrington Tops at New Years and just wanted to get an idea of the suitability of the Barrington Trail for SUVs as I've never been up there.
The plan is to camp up at Junction Pools, we will be in our Prado but we have friends who have a Murano and just wondering if they would be able to make it up to the campsite. I know the track is classified as 4WD but has anyone been up there since they opened it up after winter and can advise what state the track is in?
    Thanks
    Benno

    Re: Barrington Trail

This track re-opens at the beginning of October each year, after Winter. Condition will depend on how many people have used it.

best idea is to ring NPWS they have an office in scone and ask about track conditions, then you make your decision based on that info. cheers samo
