Yep I can still get to work thanks to the Gobba bridge.... Yay!
Flood peaked yesterday @ 9.67m & is slowly dropping. Just under the North Wagga levy of 9.9m. The Wagga CBD levy (south of the river) is higher again. However we are expecting 100mm over the whole catchment between tomorrow & Thursday. The council are draining the lagoon in the CBD to handle the expected flash flooding to avoid the city library & art gallery getting wet again.
Upstream Burrinjuck dam was releasing the equivalent of 1/2 of sydney harbour a day  No wonder we had a rise in the river level....Now they are creating airspace to allow the run-off to be held at the dam as much as possible.
After 10 years of drought, when it rains it pours!

In wagga at the moment, will be posted up to the NT in a week though.
I'll be passing through Wagga in early January. Don't supose there will be any damp issues then. Probably like other times that I've been through there around that time of year. Bloody hot.
Hopefully the expected rain isnt as bad as predicted :?
Wagga just got 15mm in about 20 minutes.....looks like more on the way & we are expecting even more tomorrow.
Glenfield/Lloyd are fine mate, its only been the CBD recently although we had a previous downpour which cut a few roads here & there all over the place.
I'm actually 25 minutes north of Wagga & we have had no issues with road closures or the current flood other than all the diverted traffic using the road.
Wondering if there is anyone from Wagga NSW on here? Moving down there next month.
Cheers,
RT
Rusty - are you "posted" to wagga................................what did you do wrong to deserve that?????
Haha, yeh mate. I'd love to stay in SEQ but that isnt going to happen. Honestly I dont mind Wagga, family down in Canberra, I love the Alpine Country on weekends but bloody hell I'm going to miss places like Straddie, Double Island pt, Fraser

Yeh was watching the radar for the place yesterday. Good to hear Lloyd etc are fine bud and you're not having any troubles where you are. I'm hoping the water drops so I can get into town in 3 weeks time.
Locusts hey, great. I might have to make up some flyscreen mesh for the front of the car :?
Yep we did the Prado & the Fiesta about 2 months ago knowing that they would eventually turn up....nylon flyscreen - better than shadecloth as it lets more air thru & being nylon shouldn't scratch the paint on the fiesta since there is no way to fit the screen on the inside of the car unlike the Prado....
