I used to have an old '88 Surf... Although it was old, slow, rough and noisy it really felt well built. I sold that and started looking for a newer 4runner or Prado. Then I noticed that for the same price as a 4runner I could get a Jeep Cherokee with half the km's and 3-4 years newer. Besides, I heard that they go really well off road. I found one very cheap with a 4.5" suspension lift and bought it... and while it was great off-road with huge flex and a functioning LSD rear, on-road it was terrible. It just didn't feel like a quality vehicle. I quickly decided that I should have stayed with Toyota, sold the jeep for a profit a couple of months after buying it and got a Prado.
