Hi there,
Anyone can share his experience with the D -Gas system on a Prado Diesel?
I had the ECO GAS system installed a year ago by a local installer who, as I discovered later, installed this system for the first time.
There were some calibration issues at first, which in conclusion were apparently fixed, but I am still unable to tell if there are real benefits when running the Prado with the D Gas mix. Power may be a little bit more than usual, economy hardly any.
Yesterday I discovered that one of the vacuum hoses was ruptured....It looks like the wrong non fuel resistant material was used. There is a second hose leading nowhere.....drainage? According to the diagram it should go to MAP FITTING" The manual diagrams are not clear .
The calibration of the gas ecu seems to be straight forward, but because of " NB: Calibration Noise Threshold LPG System OFF" confusing....if it is off there are no light flashes and basically no control over the adjustments .
These systems are subsidized by the government here in Australia. If they do not deliver what the manufacturer and distributor promises we might need to do something.
Cheers
Peter
