    Jayco Swan outback shockies

    Hi

    could some-one with a Jayco Outback camper 2007 and onwards please take a photo or two of their shockies and shockie guards. I have searched high and low and can not find any photos. I have a Jayco Swan Outback 2007 model and the other day my mate pointed out that I have no shockies, the suspension is standard, not Simplicity suspension.
    I need to buy a set but would like to see a photo of them, also can I buy aftermarket or do they have to be Alko brand?

    Any help would be great !!!

    Mate, my old Jayco Swan Outback didn't have shockies - only heavy duty leaf springs. It was an 2003/4 model and, as far as I know, the new ones still don't have shocks.

    Needless to say it handled the dirt roads faultlessly. Took mine up the Gibb a couple of times, Karijini, Millstream and Cape Leveque, through the centre and up to Cape York. The only downsie was continuous dust ingress and stones smashing the pathetic water tank guard and filler connections.

      Hi I've got a 08 hawk outback. Has leaf springs & shocks. They are black with no label on them from memory. If u still want a pic I can do it tomorrow morning?

        I had a 05 model Dove and it had shockies on it.

        ss--ss it would be good to get a photo, I am wondering whether the shockie guard is part of it or what? The mounts are there just no shockies ???

          Hi Rumy,

          Here are some pics of my 04 Eagle Outback. The suspension has not changed. All Outback editions have the shocks as well as leaf springs.
          The guards are very poor and I have updated mine since these pics. have a look around http://www.myswag.org and you will find some varriances.

            Yep my 08 hawk is the same as signature035's picture. The guard strips are separate from the shocks & screwed to the wooden floor.
