  • Maxxis MT764???

Hey guys, looking at new boots for my truck and was wondering if anyone here had any experience with the new Maxxis Bighorn MT764?
ive seen them on a truck here and they look really good, and the odd review ive found rate them highly. most stuff i find on the bighorns is for the old stock though, so any news on the new bighorns would be great

    cheers Ben

They dont look too bad. I've been looking for some bighorns in 265/70/17's for the last couple of months and been told there wont be any in that size for another 6-8 weeks.

If I do get the new ones when they come I will be putting that terrible big white writing on the inside.

I got these for my thrash about Suzuki and I agree with your comments re: white writing, but after one good trip in the bush they scuffed up and dulled down nicely that they don't look too bad.

Off-road.... I've only taken them once & they performed OK, but I expected better.... but also comes down to tyre pressure & I not have had the right tyre pressure at the time

Yes, they are cheap 'coz they're made in China. You get what you pay for.

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.

Do you mind saying how much you paid for them. I've been tossing up between these and mickey t's but was told there nearly the same price for both.

I paid $290 a Tyre up here in Cairns for 255/65 17, they are a bit loud on smooth bitumen but no worse than any other MT. Fitted this size to stay legal here in Qld. I know plenty of people fit 70 series, bit with my luck I'd be the first to have my insurance denied!
Key to long life is [B]pressure![B] I'm running 40psi on the tar drop to 25 once on the dirt and keep dropping as you slow down/ low range.
                  Cheers,
                  Dusty
