  • Thanks To Matt & Loz

Just a quick thanks to Matt for your great work in completing (for now) my rig build up. The breathers are now done and the fuel tank breather also! The BBQ and great hospitality were added bonuses

While this was being done I happened to notice a PradoPoint sticker on a black rig. What was unusual was the accessory just under the sticker. Can any PP member help in identifying what this mod actually does?

I have attached a picture and would appreciate any feedback people can give

    Rob

Are you talking about the rear view mirror. One item, along with indicators, that seems to be an optional extra and rarely used by drivers in the ACT :P

The large diamond (fake) ring hanging from the rear view mirror - one of those girly wedding things! I was given a choice, have it hanging there or on my keyring... Not much of a choice i know but there were my options... I'll finish with saying the outside of the car is mine the inside remains completely girly!!!!

It was good to have youself and Lea around for the day - great company! Loz thougouhly enjoyed the day and so did I!

Was a good to be able to offer some advise on various mods, and aid you with completing the breathers... Just remember ALL WARANTIES void after leaving my driveway!

Should do it again sometime soon!

Matty, all ribbing aside, "aiding" implies I did most of the work and you helped. We both know that this was not the case and it does NOT describe my failed efforts to remove a simple clip!

No problem with the warranty, it said "We warrant that all work is performed to the highest standard. In the event anything goes wrong, we limit our liability to 3 times the total invoice cost," I reckon that adds up to...... 3 times nuttin = nuttin!

PS. No more getting under my rig without ramps, my lift looks pathetic when your belly.. I mean chest is rubbing against the underbody.

If your in town Lea and I are thinking of heading to Morgan Quarry this Saturday so we can put the air lockers through there paces. Expect there will be mud Anyone else who wants to come is welcome!!!!

And to think people were laughing at my 4" lift, viewtopic.php?f=20&t=10286 it would have been just the thing for this type of job.

                  Cheers Andrew

                    Andrew
After spending a fortune at "Matts Unique Mods" (MUMS for short) I could not afford those fancy ramps, especially 4 of them! They do look very functional though and I expect they could double up as chocks for the camper trailer, still hard to justify such fancy equipment for a one off event.

Anyway, Lea is suggesting that we get one of those accessories Matt has hanging off the revision mirror (refer to the first photo). Matt's better half insists it is something Matt put there. He told her that the pretty ribbon doubles up as a snatch strap and the ring is for emergencies when the vehicle rolls. Just use the big diamond to cut through the front glass and escape.

I thought it was a chicken neck hanging from the rear view

Matt you sure get some strange ideas after you've been to Brazil don't you
