  • Hi-Lift Mounting Points at Rear

    Dear All,
Been trying to search but can't find anything on this.

How do you guys use the Hi Lift at the rear of the car...at the front I have the mounting points on the bull bar....not sure how to do it at the rear as we dont get a rear bar for the Prado over here in Kenya

I have seen cars with metal sticking out from under the bumper from both sides which I am assuming is welded to the chasis....Has anyone made this mounting points...let me know what you think of them...also if you have measurements and how you have fitted them...would really appreciate it.

    I have a Prado 120 Series.

    Regards,

    Vijay

Re: Hi-Lift Mounting Points at Rear

The strap is used to go through the rim of the rear wheel to lift the wheel off the ground. Not sure if this is the strap you are talking about. There is NO High Lift Point for the Prado especially if you do not have a towbar. If you get a towbar with a removable hitch, you may be able to slip in the tongue of the high lift jack and lift the rear of the car that way. But make sure you do it safely otherwise the whole rear of the car can move if the high lift jack isn't positioned properly.

Thanks...here in Kenya have seen few prados with a Metal Bar coming out from both sides at the rear under the bumber...am assuming this is attached to the chasis and this is used for High Lift mount points...am posting photo of a Prado with 1 on it...hopefully it come sup clear as it was taken while driving...you can see the highlift atached on top of the 2 bars coming out from under the bumper. The point is clearer on the left of the picture
