  • Navman MY75T GPS that comes with Hema off-road maps in it.

    Hi people,

Some one from my 4wd club mentioned they brought a Navman MY75T GPS that has Hema off-road maps on it and it only cost $324, not bad if you don't wanna dish out 700+$.

    Heres a couple of links:

Interesting find, didn't know Navman offered a Hena equipped unit. There's a list of the included maps here:

How does a Navman and Hema compare with something like a chinese yum cha GPS running IGO8 and OziExplorer? Is the street navigation interface easier to use than IGO8?

I have seen this package - it doesnt look like a complete topo for Australia. It is actually about 40 or so 4wd tracks which have been mapped so you can drive it with directions. Correct me if i am wrong of course but i checked it out today and ended up with a Garmin with the full topo map package...

      Cheers

You're right it doesn't have Topo maps but does have an extensive range of off road tracks installed. I've got one.

There seem to be way more than 40 tracks. They appear all over the place.

        Cheers

Can you use the Hema maps to see your position at any location or do you need to be on one of the listed tracks to be able to see the map?

It seems to work seamlessly. The Hema maps 4WD tracks come up as brown and work like any other roads. You can search points of interest. Typed in a campsite at Barrington and it took us straight there.
