No, still blows. I mightr try and uninstall and then re-install. Initally I had the trial version and then have the full version installed. Will check version number tonight.

I guess one thing I have is when I import an ECW file it creates the .map file but dosn't create two files like you have. I'm not sure if there is a different import process, different version or what.

It was a three stage process for me:

      1. Download the .ecw file from www.ga.gov.au

      2. Import to Oziexplorer (Trial version will do it)

      3. Convert to .ozf format using the "image to .ozf tool" downloaded
from the WINCE page on the Ozi website. (Note: this takes a few hours to convert all of QLD). This proces makes the two files.

Load onto the map folder in Ozi on your SD card then you are away.

Note some GPS cpu's (ARM Type) can read the .ecw files apparently, but I don't know too much about that, only whats on the OZI website.

Those files posted look all OK to me, but I have not used them yet.

      Hope this helps.

      Cheers
      Snowy

Ok, so does it matter that the version of Ozi I'm running is the PC version and not the WinCE version? The Windows version is 3.95.4c.

As yet I don't have a GPS, but I've got a love of maps.

I have no landline connection at the donga I stay at Iso connect via an over priced wireless broadband connection with minimal download allocation and then get ripped off blind for exceeding the limit.

Is there any chance someone could make and post me a copy of their copy of Drew's original DVD. I'm more than happy to provide adequate reimbursement for any associated costs etc.

Also ...McBain are your converted files available on DVD?
Likewise I'm more than happy to provide adequate reimbursement for any associated costs etc.

Download link is dead at the moment for those that have asked why they don't work.. apparently there's a "Catastrophic power failure" somewhere in the States according to my new hosting people anyway....

edit - fixed, they should be working again now.

Sorry my bad , I wrongly thought you were trying to use them on a GPS. Ozi should open up the .map files.

Mine work okay with the trial version on PC.

                Cheers

I downloaded all the files but when unzipping them got some errors in 2. I retried them and they worked fine, so if you have this problem, just try the file again.

Wild Life, PM me your address and I'll burn you a copy.

                      Cheers, Nige

I think you will find Drew has been MIA lately. The best way to get the maps from some of the links people have set up.

On the map subject, I just borrowed Hema 4WD Raster Map Collection from the local library. Check your local library, you never know what's there. Pretty much the same as what is available to download from Geoscience Australia, I was hoping for some 1:100K stuff.
