  • Spot gps eperb

Hi all I bought a spot gps eperb just before I went on a five week adventure to kakadoo and Alice ,Uluru and all the spots on between and when we go to jabaroo the unit stopped workn ,so I changed the batterys and tried again but no luck still not workn !
I'm still on holidays and I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem ,I have been in contact with service provider and all they have said is change battery's and stand outside !well I did right next to Uluru and still didn't work ! So if anyone could help that would great cause I'm going to throw it of the top of kings canon on Wednesday if it didn't work

I'm guessing that because nobody replied it's not a common problem - did you get it resolved?

I'm also assuming it's not a common problem.

I bought a SPOT II earlier this year before our long trips, and it has worked perfectly the entire time (still is, obviously!). I have nothing but praise for the unit.

I can't solve you're problem but the Spot connect is now also available in Aus. It allows you to connect to a smart phone and send text messages.

Must admit, I've been looking at the Connect too - I don't have a Smart phone but it works the same with an iTouch (which I do have). I downloaded the App to have a look but obviously can't see much without it actually connecting I haven't been able to find out how much the messages cost after the first five freebies though.
