I have wired up the Sat Nav 8014 which the same as the 8011 and 8013 except it fits the VX Prado and it all looks good.
I just have a couple of questions on using the unit.
1. When navigating a route there is no voice over if the navigation screen is up. It simply mutes the radio when it is supposed to be giving verbal directions. It is set to some UK sorts voice. There are voice directions if the radio screen is up. There must be a setting I can’t find to turn the voice over on when the Nav screen is up.
2. I can’t load DVD’s into the draw. The locking screws have been removed. Is there a trick to loading them? It’s as if there is a physical barrier to pushing them in.
3. The FM radio reception seems weak to me. Around town it’s strong but it drops off quickly to quite a bit of static.
It looks like a great unit thus far.
