Mate I stumbled on www.fixmygps.info/forum and found links to maps and software there. Got the latest IGo software and Aussie maps off a member known as Bazzle01

Well I have used my cheap Chinese GPS on a 12 day trip down in the High Country of Victoria and it worked fantastic. With the large 7 inch screen you can see waypoints well in advance and the times we had to make detours this was made so much easier with the big screen.

I was using Oziexplorer with 1:25000 topo maps and Hema High Country maps 1:250000. Switching to and from the different scaled maps only took a few seconds and didn't cause any issue. I did change the screen page file which made it easier to change map scales.

The only problem I have with my unit is the memory or lack of it. I can not fit all NSW and VIC topo maps on the 8gb SD card. I had to delete NSW and put on VIC. I did try to put a bigger card in but after I transferred all data over the street navigator didn't work so someone a bit more tech savvy maybe able to get it working.

Would I recommend these units... HELL YES, for the price you can't go wrong. 3 mates on the trip have brought them already. And another who has a VMS was also very impressed with my unit.

Would I rely on these as the only thing to take on a trip... HELL NO, like anything mechanical you need back-up. I also took paper maps and a Garmin CSX60.

        Cheers, Terry

          Hey Terry....

I've got one of these as well. It came with a Bluetooth Reversing Camera so it was perfect for the ute. Does your's run I-Go as the navigation side of things? I transferred everything that was on the small SD card over to a 16GB card an it still seems to work ATM. How or what did u do to install Ozi onto the unit? I would love to be able to install Ozi on mine as well but I don't have any maps..... Any advice would be great (u can PM if u want)

          cheers...
