  • Factory Fitted GPS

    Hi there,
Was wondering if anyone else has the same problem we do.
We have the 2012 Prado Altitude which has the GPS inbuilt. While I love the GPS, I find that the time it states it will take us to arrive at our destination can be out by hours.
Does anyone else have this probem??

nope... mine seems very accurate. Just check what settings you have it set to (fastest time, shortest route etc).

We have the choice of 3 routes and usually pick the quickest.
Noticed coming home to Vic from Qld recently on a road we travel often that on a 4 hour trip - it would be saying 6 or 7 hours??

Not sure about the 150 series GPS, but in the 120 series GPS there is a speed setting in the menu somewhere where you can set the speed of different types of roads. I believe this is what is used to calculate the approx travel time. On mine they are listed as something like freeways, major roads and minor roads. If you can find and increase these to more realistic speeds your travel time should be more accurate.
