Next week my new Prado (or 120 here in Germany) will be delivered to replace my Grand Cherokee 
I plan to take the car to Africa (Tunesia, Libya...) for some holiday trips later this year. To navigate in the desert I intend to install a Garmin 276c/278c, a quite popular, but bulky device:

I searched the forum but could not find any posting related to this model, maybe it's not available in OZ?
Did somebody install this or a similar type of GPS in the Prado? It's too heavy to be mounted at the windscreen, so I thought about fixing it on the dash. I don't really like to drill holes, maybe there is a clever idea to fix it without permanent damage?
