  • On Line Trip PLanner

I am not yet ready for a full sat nav system but check on line trip planners such as Whereis and NRMA Trip Planner.
    They produce very different results.
    e.g.
    Orange to Goulburn
    Whereis 313km via black top
    NRMA 204 km via Tuena.
Any comments from the experts as to the background map database used by these systems?

Are there any other online systems you would suggest I look at?

I am interested to try the new Prado on dirt with only 200kms on the clock.
    Cheers
    Chris

I have used the Travelmate website on a few occasions when checking route distances:

I use google maps now, it is very good, and unlike the others you can drag the route with your mouse to change it.
