I visit http://gpsmapsearch.com/ and found all downloadable files are in .img format.

1. How do I open these files?

AND

2. How do I configure it on Garmin nuvi 760?

Hi maxmo,

I haven't had the time (or need) to play with the .img files for the Nuvi.

Whilst someone here may know, I suggest the better forum to research this is GPS Passion. If you discover the answer, it would be helpful if you update this post also. It will save me some searching around in the not too distant future .

Just for your reference:

While tring to configure MaspsetToolkit that can be used to load .img file to MapSource before moving to Gramin I found following viruse alert. MaspsetToolkit requires cGPSmapper to be preinstalled, cGPSmapper is a free version which can be downloaded for ther web site, but when I tried doing so, my web server rejected the download with follwoing error:

ANTI-VIRUS DETECTION ALERT
The anti-virus scanner was triggered by this file. The file was not cleaned and has been removed.

Context: 'cgpsmapperFree.zip'
Detection(s): 'Armadillo (compressed file)'

See your system administrator for further information.
