  • OziCE - Who has modified their screens?

I thought I'd share some of my modified screens in the hope that others may do the same..... The program to modify you screens is available from the Oziexplorer web page.

First one is the default Sat screen with the battery status added. Since OziCE always starts on this screen, I thought it handy to confirm that I have my GPS plugged in & charging, which I can tell by the battery figure. I also added the time/date too & made the position details a little bigger.

Next we have my main map screen - its full screen size with just the basics on it...I added the sunset time as its handy to know how much light you have remaining on a trip....

The next kinda go together, the first shows the map & current odometers & the second allows you to start/reset/view all 3 meters that Ozi supports.

Lastly we have a triple feature.....

    Time, Speed & Altitude...

As you can each screen shows those 3 measurements with one of those being the primary. In addtion there are hidden buttons on top of the two measurements in the top left & top right. That way from each of the 3 screens I can get to the other two to show what I want as the primary display.....e.g. if I push on the speed display on the bottom screen it takes me to the display with the speed in the middle.

Cheers, please post some screenshots of any you have modified.

    Gday Richard,

Thanks for the pics! I like the look of them. Like a lot of people, im currently looking at the options for a gps. I like the idea of raster maps with Ozi. From my understanding with things like a Navman or Mio, you need to “PAY TO UNLOCK THEM LEGALLY” them prior to loading all the required gear on. I was just wondering, from your experience was the Mio an easy process? Man of the brands seem much of a muchness to me and it may come down to ease.
Also, how do you find the screen size? Do you read it yourself or generally have a navigator?

    Thanks
