SD card size for cheapie chinese double din units

Hi,

I know that at the end of the day most likely i will have to contact the seller to get a confirmation (dubious about honesty of some), but does anybody here have an idea on the max size SD card that can be used on the cheap chinese double din all in 1 GPS DVD units that you can find on Fleabay. Most of them look to come from the same factory so i have a suspicion that they will all take the same sizes. I think what it gets down to is do they take the larger 8gb cards etc or am i limited to 2gb which is as large as any seem to be giving away with the units in question.

I run a 2Gb on mine and haven't had any issues. haven't had the need so far to go larger! I'm more a fan of taking a couple of smaller ones rather than one larger one as if (when) they fail, you've got a backup (same goes for the camera!)

I've heard that some other hand held units are not fans of cards over 2Gb...

Sounds about right. It comes down to if they are capable of handling SD 2 specs (SDHD).

2G sounds right. I tried 4G to no avail. Just wanted to test some out but found a stack of 2G SDCards for $7.00 each. I bought 4.
