I have just installed a TC09X1 and it all works well but I have installed OziexplorerCE and when I go to enter the User name and Password the keyboard dissappears and the screen goes back to the main menu. Can someone please advise.

Yes it all works ok. Just can not get to register the program because when you try to enter the code and name with the keyboard the screen goes back to the main navi display.

OK, I would make sure I was entering the correct code first. When I did it first time I was using the older version OZI rego code that Des sends out with the registration E-mail, because it was the one at the top of the list mainly. Can't remember if the program crashed though.

If you are entering the right code, all I can suggest is a fresh install on a reformated SD card to give it another go, and If that fails contact Des Newman the vendor.

Hope you get it working okay.

Contact Dig Options Matt. There is a patch for the unit that will fix this problem. This was an issue that was encountered with the hires units three or so months back but is now resolved.

The following may nopt be 100% accurate, but is how I remember it....

Oziexplorer provides a tool called Img2Ozf that converts map images from formats such as ECW and
others into the format required by the CE version of oziexplorer. These were originally ozf2 and later
              ozf3 format files.

The CE version of Oziexplorer can now read file formats other than ozf2 and ozf3 directly, but I find
that it still loads up ozf3 files a lot faster than ECW files for example.

Plus the Img2Ozf tool allows you to fiddle with the settings of the map images, such as reducing the
size of the map images and so on. This is especially useful with the NatMap series of maps.

              I hope the info helps...............

              John
Thanks John, I have the conversion tool for ozf2, and I have converted the maps that I will use over the next couple of weeks with it. I assume that ozf2 will do what I want it to do, or should I get ozf3 from somewhere?

The newer version of IMG2OZF will output as OZFX3 files.

I have one of these terrific units BUT we have a problem with the Bluetooth, I have a new Nokia and it has been "Paired" with the unit by my son. When I turn it (The phone) on it shows in the Bluetooth section that everything is turned ON but the unit shows that it is Disconnected nearly every time I get into the car and hook it up to power. Any ideas?? Nobby

I can recall having a similar issue with another bluetooth speaker device (BlueAnt Supertooth) with an older Nokia. Try add the stereo as a trusted bluetooth device on your nokia phone?

Looking at upgrading my stereo to a SAT NAV / DVD player. I know Matt is in the process of upgrading his unit. what do people recommend on using as I want something that can run OZI explorer, can load shonky mapping and uses whereis mapping. Also wish to hook up 2 - 4 cameras using an AV splitter and the two head rest dvd players.

                        Hey guys,
Just an update that we have found a suitable premium unit that ticks all the boxes:
super fast 600MHZ processor, external bluetooth mic, very sensitive radio receiver - outperforms any unit we have tested or seen including VMS 7023 (the unit also has RDS info), 2 x USB that can play videos from portable hard drive and ipod, plays, displays and charges late model ipod and iphone, 128mb DDR ram so will cope well with all the mao extras you guys want to throw on it (skins etc).
As well as many other nice to have features including (but not limited to) dual zone video, win ce 6, ARM v.11 platform, bluetooth phonebook and many others.
We have limited stock while we road test the unit and firm up the pricing but like always will be offering discounts to members of Prado Point.
                        Matt
