    Hi all,
I have a question for you all I have had my TP09X1 (on box it hasIP09X1 typo I think) 6mths and all is going fine except for one small hitch. No matter what phone I pair to the blue tooth the unit will not accept private numbers. This has not been a show stopper as 99.9% of calls I receive show there number. But my home phone which she who must be obeyed uses to ring me sometimes does not forward the numbe so it is blocked some how. What happens is the phone screen comes up and then the call is terminated. So just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
    Regards,
    Steve.

        Hey guys,
Just an update that we have found a suitable premium unit that ticks all the boxes:
super fast 600MHZ processor, external bluetooth mic, very sensitive radio receiver - outperforms any unit we have tested or seen including VMS 7023 (the unit also has RDS info), 2 x USB that can play videos from portable hard drive and ipod, plays, displays and charges late model ipod and iphone, 128mb DDR ram so will cope well with all the mao extras you guys want to throw on it (skins etc).
As well as many other nice to have features including (but not limited to) dual zone video, win ce 6, ARM v.11 platform, bluetooth phonebook and many others.
We have limited stock while we road test the unit and firm up the pricing but like always will be offering discounts to members of Prado Point.

Assuming you mean for each channel? Just look that up on the web for each channel. I was playing around with this recently as SexBS reception is poor for us so I tried to manually enter this for the Digital tuner in my home PC. Found there were a number of frequencies depending upon where you are. Best if you look it up for each channel.

Here is the listing for SexBS:

              Good luck finding the rest.

              • Re: Dig_Options TP09X1 GPS, Reviews & Information

I have been running around now for about 3 weeks with Digioptions latest unit or as Matt describes it the Premium unit. I'm pleased to say that it it stands up to the hype.

So far all functions are running well, after a couple of teething problems. There seemed to be an issue with the supplied 4Gb SD card, which couldn't be read on any of my computers at home when I was trying to load maps, although Matt had no problem setting it up, and it reads OK on the unit (any advise here would be appreciated). The unit came preloaded with Ozi and a street nav program I wasn't overly impressed with although for the life of me I can't remember what it was. I have changed it to IGO8 and the unit uses Matts Navigation switch page which was preloaded. The GPS runs whilst any other function is running.

It is possible to connect rear screens to the DVD and get video plus audio (the TP wouldn't send the audio signal for some reason) to them. I was a bit dissapointed that I couldn't do this and play the radio or ipod through the car speakers which was my main reason for purchasing the unit.

The radio signal is excellent. I do not have tv set up so can't comment on that.

Installation is just as easy as the TP and accomplished in under 20 minutes.

The bluetooth phone connectivity is good and the premium unit uses an external microphone which I suspect makes communications at the other end a bit clearer. It just means you need to run the microphone across the dash and up the pillar.

The unit sems to be fully compatible with the iphone and shows songs on the screen and can be controlled through this as well.

Most importantly the Dig Options service remains and Matt is always on the end of the line if there are any issues

I am also interested in this new unit, is there an ETA or a list of specifications for it? In one of your posts you mention a $1200 pricetag, compared with the current one at $600 (not inclusive of the $120 tv tuner) thats a fairly substantial increase.

                        Hey guys,
We have completed our road testing with 10 units on the road (plus disecting the unit in-house) and we can confirm that this is a fantastic unit. The quality of the unit has also managed to persuade some VMS dealers to take on our product as it does have added benefits such as faster processor (general and GPS), RDS radio info, Bluetooth phonebook, 2 x USB with the ability to play music and video from a portable hardrive, as well as other features which can be compared with the details below. I don't think the Polaris gets a look in. And at $1,299 plus postage, it'll leave you with change to splurge on other gear for your vehicle.
Any questions, please don't hesitate to PM or email me at [email protected].
                        Cheers,
                        Matt

Are you saying that with the premium unit, if you say had a roof mount dvd monitor hooked up and that was playing in the back, that you can't run say a movie from your iphone or hard drive at the same time?

Can we start a new thread on this new unit or if it is the same one as discussed in this thread, viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7828, then add any related comments/feedback to it? It just keeps this thread specific to the TP09X1 unit only.

                              Hi Angedan

I have 4 young ones and it was a pain trying to change DVD's for them from the front passenger seat on their Dick Smith Dual Screens. So I hoped to be able to watch and listen to a DVD through this unit (easy to change pause stop etc. DVD's) using the A/V out, and then using the AV in on the screens. With the TP we could get the visual thru to the screens but not audio.

With the premium unit we get both signals, but my dream was to be able to satisfy the kids with a DVD (audio through their screen speakers) whilst the wife and I listened to the ipod on the car speakers. Matt thought this could be achieved but the manual states that when a DVD is playing you cannot use radio, mp3 mp4 etc. I suspect the same would be the case with the example you are referring to, once the DVD palyer is active all else stops except the GPS which will continue to work (it wouldn't on the TP).

So what have we done - gone back to yoga lessons to continue to reach around and control the DVD's, whilst listening to the our favourite music on the iphone.
I hope this answers your question.

                                G'day Hummo,

Thank you so much for your reply, it is very helpful. I think I'll have to look at a DVD roof mount player and not just the monitor to be able to separate what we watch in the front to the kids in the back. But gee I completely understand what you are saying with performing yoga moves just to put a dvd on for the kids in the back, it truly is a pain in the buttocks.

Thanks again for your help it's much appreciated.

                                Cheers ... Angedan
