What reciever do you recomend

Ive got Oziexplorer for my EEpc to mount in the prado and a copy of hema raster maps but Im unsure what reciever I need.
Ive seen the USB Globalsat units and the other units with a separate antenna and the reciever is a small box connected via a usb lead on Fleabay.
Does anyone had experience with either or any recomendations, dont want to spend too much as at this stage am only getting started.
Been using Ozi on a 4.3" Binatone and it works well but really want a bigger screen.

Anything with a surf star III chip inside should be fine. I found with the older less sensitive chips, the signal could be lost in heavy forest or during a downpour.

In saying that I have a sirf III in my current GPS & it was loosing signal briefly whilst mobile in the center of fraser. Generally it has been excellent with fast initial acquisition of the satellites.
