  • Removing the TP09XI from the dash.

I need to return the unit to Matt, so how do I remove the fascia surrounding the unit, to get to the mounting screws? Mine is the 120 Series
    Cheers

Re: Removing the TP09XI from the dash.

You remove it the same way you put it in. To remove the facia panels remove the two along the centre console/gear selection first. These should more or less just pull up. Then pull off the two that are fixed either side of the head unit. I use a platsic sppon to help disconnect the clips. Then you have four (?) bolts to remove and it should pop out. Wiring looms to be disconnected at the rear and you are done.

      Thanks Nick,
I didn't install it, but I can follow your instructions for removal as they seem pretty straight forward.
      Cheers

There are already a number of posts, probably included in the main Dig Options thread about the processing of installing but here is a link to LCOOL for the installation of a reversing camera on a Grande. Shows how to strip out the head unit in reasonable detail. I also think McBain has another post somewhere which is equally as a good:

        LCOOL - Rear Video Camera
NB: I use a plastic spoon instead of the ladies cuticle stick (what ever that is and yes I can see the image but don't know what it's for).

I went and bought a kit from Jaycar that had about 3 plastic tools for removing the dash and plastic components. It was well worth the investment, especially if you think you'll ever do it again.
