This gives me 2 pencil beams and a spread in-between.

Yes, the windscreen has recently been replaced thanks to a stone chip turning into a giant crack.

      • I refuse to put on blue covers. I have clear but like the black ones, just can't justify the wanky price of these bits of plastic.

I've got one you can have Rob, but you won't run it once you see how much light they stop. The IPF ones are a lot darker then the lightforce. I would have taken them back except they were spattered with rocks and bugs on the Oodnadatta track...

I know what you are going through.

I struggled in my own mind paying such a ridiculous price, but I finally just bit the bullet. Took me 9 months of convincing myself though.

Must be part of my rebel persona.

G'day MLC I also plan on doing the 3 lights across the front but was planning on doing 2spreads and 1 pencil out of curiosity why did you go the other way?

DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! Doooooooooooo IT!

*Official chant of the MLC Cheer Squad representing the purchase of ridiculous expensive plastic covers*

The worst part for me was that when I finally caved into my inner demons, when I went to buy the grill covers they didn't have any in stock and it was like a 3-4 week wait, which meant that I purchased a three-piece shovel as well as ordering the covers. I could hardly walk out of the store with nothing could I?!?

The downside to the covers? I now park even further away when I take the Prado to the shops as I am petrified someone will flog them! I have contemplated some sort of man 'carry-all' (see Backpack NOT Man Purse) so that I can remove them and take them with me.

On another note, I also have two spots and a spread like MLC has. I drive mainly highways at night, hence why I went with two spots. One nice spread is enough for me - two will eventually get you into trouble.

Having driven from Radelaide to WA and back and a bit of other country driving I found the need for seeing as far up the road as possible. Interestingly, if you turn your fogs on, the actually improve side vision and I was thinking that I may look for some type of conversion of these to hid spreads (if they exist).

I am very happy with the 1 spread, 2 narrow beam set up, but the next step is to upgrade them ton HID's with a kit.

If you are in any doubt, jump in sopmeones rig that has either setup. I also will be adjusting them to ever so slightly diverge outward from each other until the HID kits get ordered.

It takes a special kind of person to run three spotlights. They tend to be the kind of people who don't accept the rules, break the limits, and then come up with a cure for cancer.

Nothin wrong with running only two lights, but its kinda like dating the girl your Mum has picked out.

                            • I had my dash light up like a Xmas tree today (with lights and switches I did NOT install) and then limp mode!

Plugged in the reader which showed a "P1251" code. After a quick look up it did not read "your up shit creek without a paddle" so cleared the code and kept on going. No sign of it recurring yet....

                              • Have you got your EGR blanked off Rob? The chipit I believe masks that code and stops the CEL coming on for those running around with blanking plates.
