Official response is labour time. I paid the $122, but all hell will break loose when the code comes again and I don't clear it and they cant fix it. accept that I cleared the code but when I dont it will be their (or Toyotas problem).

Odd that you got the error code without the chip fitted though the turbo stepper motor on the D4D is known to be problematic.

I've seen the P1251 error code before when playing around with chips that change boost. The turbo stepper motor has a feedback loop that looks for it to be in the correct position within a certain time. When a chip artificially changes the signals to the ECU to gain greater boost the stepper motor has to make great changes from off-boost to on-boost and if it doesn't get to the position in time the ECU throws the P1251 fault. The fault may only become apparent on some vehicles or after a period of time as the stepper motor response varies between vehicles and can change over time.

Hey Rob, Looking at the photo's of the HR bar, am I right in saying that it attaches in three points - in the centre at the bottom where the OEM one goes plus both chassis rails where the tie down point is fitted?

I removed my OEM towbar when I fitted the rear bar on mine and have used the centre, bottom point as one of the points for attaching my bar. I'm guessing that I should be able to fit an HR towbar if I decide I need a towbar?

Yes, it attaches in the centre and on each side. After seeing your handy work I am sure you could make minor adjustments if needed, but expect you don't need to.

While under the car on the weekend I noticed again some damage to the still relatively new Mantra exhaust. That'll learned me for playing with those WA boys at Christmas time!

I'm going to have to re-locate mine from the numberplate light area, (get it working again, too!) and wondering where to put it...

Have a look at post 470. It needs to be better mounted but will stay in that position.

Only until my renovations are complete, then its in a prurdy new garage with electronic remote front gate and electronic remote garage door to keep at the riff raff.
