  • Coincidentally I was just looking at those exact ones this week.
They are the latest technology V3 fast start HID's.
    They certainly look the business.
Mine are a little slow starting up and flashing high beams is a complete non event so Im really interested to know how fast starting they really are once you get them installed :-)

I will keep you posted Trekky (aka 1CB). They do look impressive and the boys at New-pro Tech haven't let me down yet. One of the crew even posted me a few pics to help me decide on which LED bar to get. Better service from a web based outfit thatn you get in some shops!

      • Ok, so the 35 Watt (5000K)New-Pro Tech driving lights with matching LED park lights are in. They are very nice and were on the the recent FOURPLAY 4x4 outing. Received a few positive comments from those attending. I am glad I went the 35 Watts and so far no flashing of hi beams from oncoming traffic which happened with the Halogens. These things are basically plug and play. While Matt couldn't resist helping me (and as always I am grateful) I am pretty sure I could have done the full install.

In addition, the 70 Watt (6000k) quick start New-Pro Tech conversions for the 2 spots and 1 spread IPF 900 extremes seriously are impressive. I have sat back on the HID conversion front for about 2 years and have no doubt I have made the best choices.

I must also say the guys at New-Pro Tech were very helpful. One guy called Will even sent me pics of his Light Bars on his Prado Ute (aka Hilux). For those members having the 3 spots they DO provide split packs!!!!!

Its always hard to show the lights in pics but here are some anyway. Now just need to select the bar size to complete the scene.

The first 2 are hi beam and the last is hi beam plus 3 spotties.

        • Looks great mate, top job as always :-)
So how fast is "fast start", my existing old technology digitals take about 5 seconds to get to approx 75% and another 5 seconds to max out.
Thats from cold, they are instant when hot, like when the high beam has been dipped for twenty seconds, they instantly come back on.
          Interested in cold start times.

          • Grr. Now I have to time it for you. I don't have a benchmark but I can't flash someone that is flashing me. Wish I could, I could also check for abnormalities in the resulting X-ray on their seat at the same time.

I can't count...... Ok apparently the light reaches 80% in 4 seconds. I think they are 100% around 7 to 8 seconds, but I'm an old man, who really knows. They work and they work DAMM well.

PS instant on when they have been on.
