90 series Turbo Diesel Family Bus!

Well ive owned it for two weeks now so time to start the modifying!

Here are the details:
2000 TX Turbo Diesel Manual
5 x New All terrains
Bilstein shocks and Lovells springs
Arb compressor
Arb front and rear diff locks
Duel batteries
Ironman winch bar
Safari snorkel
Turbo timer
Boost guage
3 inch mandrel bent exhaust
DP chip
diff breathers
towbar
New heavy duty clutch

I just picked up a winch, spotties, rear drawers, ARB compressor which will all be fitted over the next few weeks...

Pick up roof racks and roof basket and waterproof bag on sunday - would rather a full rack but this was a cheap alternative til i can afford different...

I am also making a rear light for camping...

After the primer i added two coats of black then a coat of clear!



After bolting up the light i am not totally happy with the weight it will be putting on one bolt. I will bolt it up then decide if it will be coming off for a second arm welded on...



Next will be a three way switch in dash with the options: ON/OFF/REVERSE...

Gee, with lockers, lift, snorkel and bar etc your rig would be unstoppable!

my drawers require a custom cargo barrier and i got quoted $500 delivered... this one cost me $40 in paint and a few bolts...

Winch nearly finished and spotties on... Damn HID's light up the road... Awesome... Tomorrow the cargo barrier will go in. Finishing winch, put on roof racks, basket and rear flood light will be next weeks job as busy all weekend.

Thanks Dennis, welding is always a learning process! Saving $$$ is the main motivation... Scrapped rear floodlight mount and it's going on rear of roof cage...

Bought an awesome recovery kit today... Hopefully the brand holds up ok, Black rat...

1x Recovery Hitch with pin and Shackle

$213 express posted... All i need now is a winch extension ($65) and should be a bit better equipped then!

Still waiting for time to put roof cage on and wire up flood light and winch...

Winch control box is going to be put up near the firewall so a bit of a delay while i chase up extended wire.

I replaced the blown rear light with a ebay special LED light and DAMN! it is so much brighter. I was going to LED the back area but i think this will be enough for now...

All wired up via relay and a neat blue switch which lights up when floodlight turned on... Not a bad light considering it was only a $40 supercrap jobby... A duel LED upgrade might happen one day... I like how i can angle it down to face into my cargo area which gives fantastic light for cooking, repairs etc

Also am tinkering with the solar panel... it is flexible so it can be tied onto roof or layed over bonnet while stopped... Hopefully should give a good trickle charge to the second battery which will give me a bit more confidence in running the floodlight for a bit longer than normal...
