Now just waiting for the Kaymar Rear Bar to arrive!

Have you noticed any difference with the transmission cooler? Do you see a change on the Scanguage?

I havent noticed any difference driving it, nor on the scanguage. In saying that, I havent really been anywhere off road or towed anything to do a comparison. My thoughts are that it will improve it especially towing and out on the highway.

Very nice Adam. They really transform the car, don't they. I reckon it'd look even tougher without the side steps.

I agonised over these, but the rims stick out 42mm more than stock and i want to keep it legal.

My latest mod. I had a set of drawers made by Drifta, and they have been fantastic. The only problem I have found is that when we go away, anything thats not in the drawers is stacked in the back on top of the drawers. It is then awkward to get to, it isnt secure, and you always seem to need to get out whatever is on the bottom. I set about designing a simple box that is removeable and contains two heavy duty plastic tubs. This way I can neatly pack whatever I want in the tubs, or remove the tubs and pack everything in to the box. It then allows me to stack other items on to the top of the box. I have attached stainles steel hooks to the side of the box so I tie down anything securely. The box is screwed down firmly to the Drifta Drawers, and can be removed at any time. I made them from ply purchased from Bunnings, and covered them in Marine Carpet, again, from Bunnings. All up, I think I spent about $120, and it took me a day to make them. I painted the timber black, and they match the Drifta Drawers almost perfectly.
Now everything can be neatly packed away, pulled out of the back when we go away. I can also make use of the tubs while we are camping.
Im now thinking I might build a front fold down door for it, so that when it folds down it doubles as a table/workbench. It would be the ideal spot to put our camp stove.

                      • I think I paid $1350 for Drifta to make and install the drawers, including a base. I had to remove the seats. Included in the price was the pull out table and 1 cutlery drawer. I liked how you get the option to customise it to your own design/dimensions. That, plus they are kind of local, and a really nice bunch of people.

                          • I have no idea of the weight Matt, but I had Outback Drawers in my 120, and they were extremely heavy. Because Drifta are made of ply and have no slide mechanisms, they are heaps lighter. I have fitted HD King Springs all round. Im thinking of putting in Polyair Bags soon for when we are fully loaded, or towing the camper.
