I mount the main unit under the drivers seat and I use Velcro with the dash mat for the head unit. I don't leave it in the car all the time as apparently it makes the car "look like a truck" and the wife has power of veto with these sorts of things.
I leave the cabling in place under the seat and connect it all when we go anywhere remote.

I have a leather holder for the iPad that I always have on it. I just tuck it in under the dash mat and it seems to hold in place perfectly. Done a lot of km's with it like this when we go away and it seems to sit there nicely. One thing I still need to do is run a USB cable in under the dash to keep the wires neat.Originally posted by BebeSass View Post

Got the unit dirt cheap a while back so might as well keep using it. Sat phones are good if you are doing constant away trips but the plans can be costly if only used a couple of times a year. We use sat phones for work and have never been overly satisfied with their performance. newbie here,looking at a 150 and a 120 prado.does the front bar leave the original 150 front bumper cover in place?I can see the original cover side panel?Are there any options for the rear yet?Comment
