Righto guys, I picked it up on last friday (7 days ago)
it had never seen a dirt road and i believe the guy, but now it is fluent in dirt road driving (30km around my house is dirt/mud roads)
It is a 2003 Grande Perl white
160 000km
cream interior

i am going out in a few min to put in the arb under bonnet air compressor.

Just finished installing air compressor. took longer than anticipated, had to relocate the Carbon box (i think its called). all good
although i did manage to get something like black, dirty grease on the driver seat, then spent one and a half hours conditioning the leather on all 8 seats, Ha ha ha

I am on a tight budget eg under $150 for the rest of the month on the car :-(
any suggestions for the next minor mod?

Will call into toyota on the weekend.
i just did an oil change and was a tad amassed, My last car took 11.5L of oil each change (so thats 23L per 10 000km) this prado took 5.6L for the 10,000km
that is awesome.

I have decided to save for a transmission upgrade (nomad valve body, synthetic oil conversion, lock up torque converter kit and transmission cooler) before my next Major service,

Rang TJM in Mackay and ordered the new feet for my roof top tent
ordered Recovery points for the front while i was at it.

Picked up new feet today, now the tent can go on
the tent used to be on my old car (the only time it got bogged (when it had a shattered front diff))

Put it on a tad back from the sunroof so i can still open it when going camping (when there is no mud )

Won a pair of really good spotlights last night, Pretty happy, although i have no where to mount them :-( they will look got on my shelf and make me save to get a bulbar, im thinking a colour coded TJM T13 steel winch bar!

Went over all the non mechanical parts that need grease or some powdered graphite today and found that the thing on the drivers door that holds it open when on a slight hill, it was dry and the top bolt had broken the door, (hard to explain but if you look it makes sense). Taking it to the panel beaters on friday, hope the diagnoses is good.

Hey Guys, So i won a set of light force Genesis spotlights, one spot one spread. Stickers say $250 each light. i was in at TJM in Mackay talking to the boss about a nudge bar and he said that there is a powder coated T13 Winch bar out the back that he could do a good deal on for me. He did it for me fitted for $1200 so its booked in for this friday to be fitted so i decided to get all the lights upgraded to HID as well. I did the headlights and they are going to upgrade the spoties and install them :-)

So i got the bulbar today, didn't get to see it in the light, the lights reflect badly off the bulbar but i will just have to rectify that,
I am really happy
i will have to see if i need a new set of springs for the front

Well finaly have sat still long enough to use the computer.
And have taken a photo of the prado with its bulbar and lights.
its just got back from a 7,000km trip (in witch i was stuck at home with the nav. )

Right so have gotten 3 flats in 1 week (or 120km) in 3 different tyres.
Car is booked in to get 4 Yokohama Geolandars tomorrow
boss is taking it to town and back 300km round trip for me as he is going anyway

Will post how happy i am with them later

great tyres i have not had a problem with them. not to loud either but heaps of grip off road.
