  • I'll be interested to see how you mount the front remote canisters. The only orientation I found that I could mount them, where there would be no scrubbing issues with 265/70/17 muddies, on standard rims, under full articulation and steering lock, was across the top of the chassis rail angled up at 45 degrees towards the radiator.

Here is the Link Dusty... Just have to work out your shipping costs... On a boat , next to nothing... Air Freight is a few hundred... I have some mates visiting SEMA at the moment which would have been ideal if i'd organsied it earlier ;P They quite well priced once converted to AUD compared to what we get over here for the same dollars.

Will still be the same height Tim. Will only adjust to compensate for any sagging..... That is until we get the UCA's and the new house is built with the extra height clearance in the garage

Do you still have any pics of your set up Leachy... I've seen Justo's ICON's in person but I can't recall how youu had yours set up? Did you get the UCA's?

I'd imagine that I will have to do the same as we are running the muddies as well and you are restricted with the length of the hose they supply...

Sorry Mitch no pics and the Prado now lives in Bunbury. Where did you buy the Fox? Mine came with some brackets that were for an FJ and completely useless for installation on a 120 Prado. When I started looking at other installations on 120 Prados they had just been strapped along the chassis and where either running different offset rims or just putting up with the scrubbing. The hose length and large size of the Fox canisters make it a challenge. But it can be done. I didn't install UCAs.
The rear is also a tight fit. On mine, at full articulation, full compression on one side and full extension on the other the canister canister would just touch the tyre. I fixed this by loosening the alloy clamp that holds the canister to the shock body amd moved it as close to the top shock as possible and twisted it some. This caused the canister to be angled away from the tyre. It's only a small amount of angle you can put on the canister mount but enough to give about 5mm clearance at full articulation.

Cheers Leachy. I'm getting a set which come with Tacoma brackets as we've opted for the 0" to 3" lift which will require the UCA's if we want anymore lift out of it. No doubt there will be plenty of cursing and swearing...

                • I had the same 0-3" coil overs. But I was only after 790mm front ride height I i didn't bother with the UCAs.

I found a photo of how my front remote canisters were installed.

                      • Finally got around to installing the forward facing camera onto MUMSRIG.

It is one of those jobbies that fits into the badge on the grille. By mounting into the grille you only get a view of the back of the spotties... I thought about making a mount to mount it above the number plate but it would have looked a bit odd. I ended up mounting it to the XROX on the left habd side in an existing hole and it works a treat.

                        • Fitted the ProVent today... Looks almost factory..

I set up a bracket which is secure but is not ultimately what I want. I will end up making something a bit more factory looking to mount it.
