I won't have time to do anything until we get back in late August unfortunately..

Well, I dropped into CHIP IT yesterday and booked MUMSRIG in for the 22nd. The plan is to have 2x tunes built in and others available to upload via the Toshiba Tablet if required before our trip. We will have an Economy tune and a Power tune. Economy tune for the trip across to the East and Return and the Power tune for runs along the beach and offroad etc...

    Looking forward to it!

Dropped in to pickup the camper trailer after it's freshen up today and they had missed a couple of things, so we should have it on Saturday. Whilst I was there I noticed their stainless tailgate kitchens, so we may end up with one of those also..... hmmmm, we'll see!

Bit the bullet this morning and asked them to fit up the stainless tailgate kitchen. They need to strenghten the tailgate and install a gate lock etc... Should be ready by tomorrow morning..

Same as this, but will fit up in the opposite direction...

At first glance I thought you were going to fit that in the cargo area of the Prado lol

Mind sharing how much the quote for the unit alone is?

            Cheers

                  Time for a rant!!!

Picked up the camper trailer after it's freshen up and the install of the tailgate kitchen and they have changed the colour on us!

The trailer was a gun metal grey colour (hammertone) and is now a bright silver colour (still hammertone) which we were'nt expecting..

The tailgate kitchen install was average at best. I was questioning the hinges on the tailgate now it has the extra weight on it as I was expecting them to beef them up a bit or add some extra plate for strength but there was nothing... I almost had an argument with the young guy as he was telling me that they were fine and will withstand the weight etc, however the tailgate drops already and it hasn't even been used!! Oh well... I'll just have to knock up an adjustable leg for it until I fix it properly...

Anyways, picked up the new camper top after grabbing the trailer and had a go at installing it today after helping the next door neighbour install a stereo system, amps, splits, 6x9's and a sub... As per normal though, I ran right out of time and the neighbour had to do the runner to work... Another lost day...

After ginning around for a bit and trying to work out how to mount the bloody thing we hooked it up and shot down to a trailer place nearby and they are going to knock up a frame extension etc to allow for the hinge mechanism... So it should be ready by Monday for me to finish off a few other things...

                  Rant over...

                      • Hey Mitch
Probably a silly question, but it doesnt look like you have any suspension travel left on the trailer??
                        Whats the go there?
                        Cheers

Pretty much at the limits with everything on this trailer now Marc... Full water tank, battery, toolbox on front, 140kg camper top, bigger diameter wheels than it was built for etc etc...

Next mod will be a pair of these:
